      Dr. Nick Kahwaji is the honorary consul of Lebanon to Vancouver BC, Canada, and former World Secretary General for the Lebanese Diaspora organisation, World Lebanese Cultural Union.  Having grown up in Sidon, Lebanon, Nick has been fascinated by his Phoenician ancestors since childhood.

      Ghassen is passionate about purple dye, which he extracts from murex sea snails, just as they did in ancient Tyre. Also a member of the Executive Commitee of the Association Didon de Carthage, we are indebted to Ghassen for all his assistance in welcoming the Phoenicia and the Expedition crew in Tunisia.
