On Saturday evening (18th August) the UK’s new aircraft carrier the HMS Queen Elizabeth set sail from Portsmouth (opposite Gosport where Phoenicia is under going some maintenance ahead of next year’s expedition). The HMS Queen Elizabeth is currently making her maiden voyage across the Atlantic for sea trials with American forces. One wonders if the Phoenicians were the first to send an armed ship across the Atlantic?
